Ten
utwór muzyczny ba cała płyta, wywarła na mnie ogromne
wrażenie, i myślę sobie że nie tylko na mnie. W 1984 roku była
pewna audycja radiowa Polskiego Radia - "Nowa płyta" -
prowadzona przez T.Beksińskiego, to właśnie tu udało mi się
nagrać całą płytę zespołu Alphaville - "Forever Young",
na kasetę magnetofonową. W tamtych czasach kupić tę płytę na
winylu, było prawie niemożliwe. Ale udało się kupić na rynku
Bałuckim w Łodzi, gdzie na tamte czasy był spory wybór płyt
winylowych jak i kaset magnetofonowych i innego dobra, którego
brakowało w sklepach w czasach Prl-u. Tę płytę mam do dzisiaj
łącznie z singlem, maxi-singlem i kasetą magnetofonową zakupioną
niedawno.

Teraz
trochę o samej grupie:
Alphaville
– grupa ta powstała w niemieckim mieście Münster, to tu
właśnie odbył się ich pierwszy oficjalny występ w 1981 roku.
Inni twierdzą iż grupa powstała w 1982 roku w Berlinie. Grunt że
powstała, formację tworzyli Marian Gold, Bernhard Lloyd i Frank
Mertens, którego w 1984 roku zastąpił R. Echolette. Nazwa
Alphaville została zaczerpnięta ze słynnego filmu zatytułowanego
"Alphaville" Jeana-Luca Godarda, z 1965 roku.
Początkowo
grupa trochę eksperymentowała z dźwiękiem, grając muzykę opartą
na syntezatorach, z pogranicza rocka i synth popu, nawiązującą do
stylów new romantic i rocka elektronicznego. Jednak po 1984
repertuar zdecydowanie się zmienił, muzyka stała się lżejsza, w
aranżacjach dominowały nadal instrumenty elektroniczne. Sukces
odnieśli w 1984 roku, za sprawą singla "Big In Japan",
którego także mam w kolekcji. W roku 1984 ukazał się
debiutancki album "Forever Young",utwór ten uznawany
jest przez wielu za swoisty hymn pokolenia, które wychowywało
się w latach 80-tych.
